Why does my iPhone save photos as HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple’s default camera format since iOS 11 — it halves the file size of a JPG at the same quality, but many websites, marketplaces and Windows tools still cannot open it.
What happens to transparency?
JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are filled with white. Choose PNG or WebP as the target if you need to keep transparency.
